Anyone know anything about this course? It looks unbelievable and I'm really interested in getting up to play it. Only problem is, it's practically in Canada, and that makes it difficult to get to from Virginia.

Hi,

I played that course last year. It's unbelieveably beautiful and certainly challenging. I would not recommend it for the novice golfer but definitely worth the visit....just don't hit your ball in Lake Michigan.....LOL!

I'm going to play there in a few weeks, along with Crystal Downs and Kingsley. From what I've heard its fantastic. I'll let you know how it goes.

Played it last summer, it is truly incredible. The scenery is breaktaking and the layout is spectactular. Btw, if its blowing off the lake, make sure to bring your knockdown game!!!

As far as travel goes, you could always fly into Traverse City (connections through Detroit), and its about an hour drive from there.

In case anyone hasn't played it, it made the "Best Places to Play" list in the May 2006 issue of Golf Digest....quite an accolade!

Make the trip by all means. I have played the great courses in Ireland--Ballybunion, Lahinch etc--- this is as close as you can get to that type of
golf.

The greens are very demanding but the experience is the best.

It was so good that my wife and I decided to buy a new home less than 4 miles from the course so we can enjoy it for years to come.

Lodging does not exist near the course but by driving a few miles you can find suitable lodging and some very good golf.

Make the trip for sure!!

This fall I'm playing the same three AB, Kingsley and CD. Any advice? Or a 4th course to add?

There's really so much to choose from in the area... The Bear at Grand Traverse Resort is worth looking at.

Bay Harbor is also top notch. but the list goes on and on... depends what type course you want to play. There are literally dozens and dozens of courses in NW Michigan that deserve a look.
