Hi, I am using a 5 year old set of beginner's clubs and they are just not cutting it anymore. I am looking at the Cleveland Launchers and Launcher LP's irons. At the golf shop where I will be buying them (have to have custom fitted shafts and lie angles (+1", 1 degree flat) so I can't buy from Sports Authority or online most places), the Launchers are $500 (3-PW), and the Launcher LP's are $300 (4-PW). I really liked the wide sole of the Launchers, but the guy at the shop said the LP's club head is going to be the same design. I like how easy it is to hit a high trajectory shot with the Launchers, and they don't have any LP's for me to try out. Does anyone know if the sole of the LP's are similar width compared to the regular Launchers? I do need help hitting a high shot, but I don't want to spend more than $300 on irons unless I really have to. Sorry this is such a long post, and any advice on what I should do will be appreciated. Thanks again.

what exactly does "low profile" even mean...i looked at the sets ryns2 mentioned above (thanks btw) but i feel more comfortable hitting with a +1" shaft then standard, and the lie of the club needs to be 1 degree flat...thanks for the advice though

Off the Cleveland web site
Launcher LP irons are similar to the original Launcher irons in that they are made from 17-4 stainless steel and sport an extremely high MOI, which minimizes the loss of distance on shots that are struck off-center. They both also feature a low and deep Center of Gravity to help those who struggle with their long irons get the ball in the air with less effort. Both also feature additional offset to help square the face at impact. Offered as a seven-piece set, Launcher LP irons feature a lower profi le for those golfers who desire more control in their game.

LAUNCHER LP
Launcher® LP irons feature a lower profile than the original Launcher irons for those golfers who are looking for incredible stability and more control.
LAUNCHER
An exceptionally forgiving iron, the easy to hit Launcher® irons offer mid to high handicap players more accuracy and less loss of distance on off-center shots.

The regular Launcher irons look more like what I would get, but they aren't on sale like the LP's.

    • Mostly pull cuts to slices. Some random pull draw/hooks pending of I hit the toe.
    • What's the rest of that story? Where was the ball going?
    • The criticisms are starting already 🤣 U.S. Open pro criticizes Shinnecock green conditions: 'Bumpy' After playing his first practice round at the 2026 U.S. Open, Michael Kim offered a less-than-glowing review of Shinnecock's "bumpy" greens.   The sand, I don't care about that. If the greens didn't come back as well for latest aerification, that would be a bit of a blunder on Shinnecock I think.
    • Well, if your frame of reference spins twice during the swing, then Bryson's ab/adduction is more like 780 degrees so there! (Yes I'm being silly, but not sure it's any sillier than what your pal Andy is doing...)
    • Update: Brandon Sorsby has decided to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft. He will not play for Texas Tech in the upcoming season.  From my perspective, I think he did the right thing. I hope he gets the correct help for his gambling addiction. I say the right thing, because I would be worried that the stress from all of this now and throughout the entire year would not be beneficial towards his mental health.  If an NFL team picks him up, then there really isn't any pressure for him to play immediately. He can work on himself and his game for the NFL.  From Texas Tech,  "Texas Tech will continue to provide the support and recovery resources Brendan requires on this journey. Furthermore, Texas Tech will not seek return of any amounts already paid to Brendan through his NIL agreements with the University," Campbell wrote. "We wish our best to Brendan, and we offer our prayers to him and his family as he chases his dreams at the next level. This has been an unbelievably painful experience for us all, but I know that his true, underlying character and lessons learned through this experience will ultimately bring him great success on the field of play and in life." Which, I also the right thing to do.
