Low round of life today

I haven't played in 6 years and have been hitting the range hard the last few weeks. Got a new driver, Big Bertha 460, and am finally hitting well off the tee for the first time in my life.

I played a local county course (65.3/110) today and dominated it. It was one of those days where it all seems to work out. The course was short off the whites, 5344 yds, so next time I'm playing the blues.

I was cranking my drives 260-280 off the tee using the Bridgestone E6+ ball. Either with a slight draw or fade. I was walking and on the back nine my draws turned into a slight fade, probably from walking in the 95 degree temps. I was able to knock light 51 deg wedges into most of the greens, sometimes rolling it through into the fringe or pulling the shot a little. I need to do a bunch of work on my short game. Longest iron I hit into a green was a 8 iron 140 into the wind. Hit 5 iron and 6 iron approaches into two of the par 5s.

Total of 76 with 3 birdies and a double on a 95 yd par 3.

33 putts, most of my approaches ended up being a little less accurate then I would have liked.

9 green in regulation

9 fairways. I had a 3-4 drives run through into the first cut.

I'm excited to play next week and I'll try from the blues to see how I do from a little further back.
