Well, I am in the process of finding a new club. I am moving to Dublin from the UK and had been told to go try the above club. Well played it today, played from the white tees which measure 6629 yards par 71. The course I am leaving is a tight parkland par 68, 5554 yards long. I play off 11 and average 270 ish of the tee (measured with laser) So I new this course would be a challenge with over 1000 yards extra to play. I played some great approach shots from between 190 and 230, even a down wind rescue 260 pin high and made par. I shot 89 which was 18 over which for playing the course blind and not really getting the speed of the greens until the back nine I was quite pleased with. So my question is 1000 yards extra is like the equivalent of 2 par 4s, 8 shots, so does that make my score more like 81 for the length of course i am used to playing?:)

      Great year last year. Who winning this year could be another special story? Brooks? Spieth? Or Aberg? An AM? I dont know if anything could top last year

      I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!

      I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
