Hi all

I'm getting married next year and we are thinking of going to the USA for our honeymoon.
What we are planning is driving from LA to Las Vegas over the course of 2-3 weeks.
So has anyone any suggestions of where we could go,places we have to see?
We are hoping to spend 4 nights in LA and 4 in Las Vegas so the other days inbetween need to be filled!
I'm going to hire a car so really the open road is ours to go wherever we want within reason of course as we aren't going to drive 1000miles north then down to Vegas
So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, also what would a good car be to hire?
I'd love to hire a Dodge Charger

Hi Paddy,

The only thing between LA and LV is Barstow and if you spend anytime there on your honeymoon you are going to have one pissed off bride! What I would do if I were you is fly into San Francisco and drive down the California coast. Take a few nights and stop in Half Moon Bay, Santa Barbara, Monterrey and then end up in LA. After a day or two in LA drive to Vegas. Vegas is only a 5 hour drive from LA so it can be done in a morning or afternoon.

For this trip I would rent a Mustang Convertible!!

Hi Paddy,

Hi ya

Sorry I should have been clearer,I didn't mean I'd spend 3 weeks on the LA-Vegas road! I was going to drive say to San Fran or San Diego...just wondered is there anywhere where I should't miss or any suggestions of where I could drive to say within a 300-500mile radius of LA and then on the way to Vegas
