Has anyone busted this one out yet? I looked at it in the new Golf Digest magazine, and it looks pretty beastly. This, and the new Adams Speedline I hope to try out soon. I'm not saying that my Superquad isn't a good driver, I'm just saying that I could use a little more distance than what I'm getting.

260 yard average isn't that bad, but I would like to have it a tad bit longer, because I'm gaming my wedges pretty good. Anyway, opinions on the Ping G15, and the Adams Speedline are always nice. Type away!

The G15 is awesome! I bought it the first week it came out and did not dissapoint at all! I played the G10 before this and I thought it couldnt get better but i was wrong. it has a great sound feel and appearence that promotes a little more confidence. As for the i15 i have heard some really bad reviews on it and i know that most touring pros that are swithing to these new line of clubs like the g15 alot more than the i15. said to punish hits that are off center, and only upside is if you catch it clean you get a little more distance, but obviously alot less forgiving. go try out the g15 i love it and hopefully you will too!

I was messing around with a pre-owned g10 in the smulator Golf Galaxy the other day, and it felt really weird. The shape seemed oblong, and it didn't feel balanced to me. The g15 looks a lot better at least to me. I know a ton of people love the g10 though.

Have just taken delivery of my new G15. Haven't hit it yet but am playing in a club competition this morning so will use it for the first time today.
Mine was delayed a little because I ordered it with the optional Grafalloy Prolaunch Red shaft which helps keep the ball flight down a little compared to the standard Ping shaft.
Up until recently I was playing with a G10 driver with the same shaft and absolutely loved it. Got my driving back on track and felt so confident with it on the tee. A mate of mine was pestering me to sell it to him so I bit the bullet and went for the G15. Can't wait to give it a try.
I have the G10 fairways (3&5) which I love and won't be changing these for the G15 versions. Have the same Prolaunch shaft in these and I find them great..my old 5 wood (Callaway) used to balloon quite a bit if I was hitting into even the slightest breeze, the combination I have now doesn't do this in the slightest.

What did you guys think of the shafts in the g15/i15 drivers? The ust in the i15 looks neat but unsure how it woukd perform?

the TFC shaft is a higher launching shafts than most other I've seen, along with the driver head you get a REALLY high driver. I will probably replace with a diamana blueboard at my local demo day.

Just called my local Ping guy....he doesn't have either G15 or I15 in stock....said he has some coming next week, hopefully will have a few demo sticks, too.

He said that PING was slowly filling orders on these.

I'm not really in the market but a couple of guys I play with are wanting new drivers.

I would be interested in trying a G15 10.5 degree with the Serrano shaft....just for kicks, mind you. I'm enjoying the adjustability of the R9 right now.

Well, used mine for the first time yesterday and I'm very impressed. A couple of waywards drives later in the round but the wind was getting up and my swing was a little erratic towards the end.
Lovely trajectory with the Prolaunch shaft, and the club looked really good at address and inspired confidence from the very start.
Very, very happy with my purchase

How is the trajectory compared to the G10. I have the 7.5 and noticed that the g15 only comes in 9 for the lowest.

With your Handicap, you might look into the i15..... The i15 ALSO come in a 8 SO that might be better than the G15 9, IF your use to a 7.5?

PLUS the i15 looks WAY cooler

Yeah but everyone says the i15 is cruel and unforgiving. I'm a + hcp and i still like forgiveness. Same is true for the word from Ping staff pros. The G15 said the trajectory is high. ?????

The i15 is a great looking driver, still not big on th g15 for some reason. I havent tried either of them so I cant say how they perform. The Adams Speedline is very nice IMO. If I didnt hit my hideous cobra so well I would buy the speedline. It looks great and I love the prolaunch shaft, I just got the 3 wood speedline which I also like it but hasnt come in yet tho so im still wating to take it out.

Yes the g15 is high. I Never hit the i15 so not sure about it.

If your stuck on the G15 I would just go hit the 9 and see how it does with your 7.5 G10. Go to your pro shop and get a i15 8, G15 9 and hit them both against your G10 7.5 and see what happens hehe. OH btw plz PM me or post here after yo do this: Really wanting to know how the i15 stacks up and which you like better out of the 3 ping drivers.

Trajectory is about the same with both the drivers. Mine were both 10.5 degrees (I like the confidence that the extra loft gives me at address but prefer the lower launch of the red shaft).

I was a little concerned because I had read the G15 launched higher, but I didn't find this on Sunday. Early days yet, as I say I've only played one round with it but am playing again this Thursday so should hopefully be able to report more. After having played my last few rounds with my old Ben Sayers "Benny" driver while I was waiting for my G15 to arrive, it was like picking up an old friend when I finally got it in my hand. Our 2nd hole is a long par 4 (SI2) with out of bounds tight down the right and a lot of trees to mess things up down the left. You have to be straight! Previous time out with the Ben Sayers I carved two shots OOB from the tee and didn't even finish the hole (Stableford). This Sunday with the G15 in my hand I just gave it a smack and split the fairway knocking it 300 yards straight down the middle. The ground is very firm on our course at the moment, I don't usually hit it that sort of length! Left myself an easy 9 iron in, just a shame I three putted! lol!!

Apparently there's only good things to say about this driver. Except, the high launch? I'll look into another shaft if need be. But thanks for the input, and I'll be going to the local pro shop to try one out this weekend.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
