How about losing the local channels like my wife and I did yesterday? DirecTV decided we were out of the zone to get local channels, so now we either have to get an antenna or do without. It's brutal!

That's not true Cody. Well, it is and it isn't.

I live in Erie, my dish is in Erie, but my "service address" with DirecTV is in Pittsburgh. I get the Pittsburgh local channels. The satellite that handles Pittsburgh's local channels also covers me here in Erie (I could have gotten Cleveland's too... but obviously I'd choose Pittsburgh). The Browns SUCK!!! (Sorry Dave) Read this thread or this post on my blog . Then look at this image:

Well, the service guy told us last night that we shouldn't have even gotten the channels this long. We had them at our last house in Weatherford, OK (one hour from OKC), but we just had them turned off at our current house in Lawton, OK (1 1/2 hours from OKC).

I just don't understand.

Edit: I read that forum topic just now. How in the heck do you get them to believe you live at another address? Do they not have to come out and check things out?
