Bobby Jones - 5 wood, 1H, 2H (Demo Experience)

Alright, I finally found this great golf store tonight and they sell Bobby Jones clubs. I demoed the 17 degree 5 wood, which I thought I would like the best, the 17 degree 1 hybrid and the 19 degree 2 hybrid.

From all the bad talk about hitting hybrids off the deck, I was actually surprised to find I hit the hybrids a little better than the 5 wood. I hit a few 1H shots in the 230s from the deck and averaged about 210 - 218 from the rough. From the tee, I was anywhere from 210-240 depending on how much I went after it. The 2H was pretty similar experience but with a few less mishits and obviously a slightly higher launch.

The 5 wood I consistently hit about 230-240 from the tee, which might be a bit too much, but the extra inch or so in shaft length, I think, made it sometimes a bit difficult to control from the deck. I hit a few thin shots and lost a few left or right.

So my dilemma really comes down to the 1H vs the 2H. My 3 iron maxes out at about 195 (200 from the tee). And I have a 2 iron which I hit about 210 or so from the tee (it's so-so from the deck). I want to replace that club. My primary objectives are 1) attacking long par 5s (deck or rough), and 2) hitting something about 220-230 from the tee on tight holes or where a lay up is necessary from the tee.

You guys think I should go with the 1H or the 2H?

And another thing . . . why cannot I not find the Workshop Edition hybrids anywhere, including the official Bobby Jones website?? What gives?
