Weird, Strange but Good day

I snuck away from work yesterday to go play 9 on the way home. Went to Fair Oaks in Oakland. The pro was working the counter and I told him I wanted to play 9. No problem, he said that will be X dollars with a cart, I said no I would like to walk. HE said ohh, Well that will be a 25 min wait on a tee time. Strange, but that's fine I'll go to the driving range. Absolutely nobody tee's off until my tee time and then 2 guy's make the corner and I have to wait on them. At this time he comes out of the pro shop and starts talking to them and now I'm waiting another 10 min. I start to go around them to tee off and he said NO, these guy's are ahead of you.
WHAT?? I calm down and I am just trying to enjoy a easy round of golf. What I didn't realize is these guy's fashioned themselves as professionals. They played well, but way too slow. I waited on every hole. Everytime I tried to ask them about playing through they jumped on the cart and sped away.
Anyway, I was 4 over after 6, pretty good for me at this stage, and fell apart on number 7. 4 over on one hole is a killer. I finished the 9 at 10 over and still felt good. I drove the ball well on every hole and putted well. My short game needs help.
Sorry for the rant........but I fell better now.

Strange and weird but next time ask the pro why the delay with a smile and he will explain the mystery in the delay of play for you.

Well this could of been an extremely long message. I did ask him at first when I looked out and no one was waiting. He said that's the way it is.
