So I've been golfing on and off since I was 9. I've never taken it seriously though. I've always shot between 100-115, had a few good shots and quite a few bad. About 2 months ago I decided to start trying to improve. I've been hitting the range a few times a week and playing 2-3 times a week. I finally broke 100 about a month ago. I've shot 3 rounds under 100 until today (99/97/94).

My swing has been in a major transition from being super steep and way over the top, to being able to hit inside out with a little draw. My drives used to take left turns about 150 yards out, now I hit far more fairways. I finally learned how to play around the greens as well.

Today everything clicked. I shot 42 on the front and 43 on the back. If it wasn't for the 18th hole I could have easily shot 81. I drove into some trees, had trouble getting out and ended up making an 8. Other than that one blemish I had a great round. Sunk a 40ft birdie putt that was downhill and broke 5ft, hit 70% of fairways and only 31 putts.

A shame the season is just about over here in Chicago, but I plan to keep hitting the range all winter and become more consistend with my ball striking. Either way, this was a fantastic way to end the season.

Well at least it wasn't just a fluke. I shot a 6 over on 9 holes today. Even had a triple bogey blow up hole included there. Made 2 birdies and two pars. Nothing amazing, just solid golf for the most part.
