Just got a lightly used set of Titleist AP2 irons, Rifle 5.0 shafts. My old irons were Titleist AP1 with DG regular high launch. I am finding the ball flight to be more penetrating of the face then the ball raises up and land softly. I would say I am going to get more carry with these and maybe a little more distance. The feel is amazing and something you can't explain until you have tried forged irons. I don't under stand why Titleist have made the project x shafts an upgrade option in the AP2 710 model. Anyway in a comp on Sunday so I will see how they perform under pressure.

Congrats! I was torn between getting the AP1 or AP2 this past summer. I went with the AP1s, thinking the AP2s would be too much club for me. I regret the decision. Wish I would have gone for the forged AP2s. They feel so much better!

Good luck in the competition!
