Sun mountain V1 with bag clamps. Couple questions.

For those using the V1 with bag clamps, how well do the clamps work and how adjustable is the handle? On occasion the velcro straps on my old V1 let the bag turn a little and I wish the handle could be lowered without pulling the back tires together. I usually end up pushing it with the front wheel off the ground or pulling it. FWIW, I use a stand bag but the cart bags I've used in the past would also turn sometimes.

I don't own one but I can say that I don't like the bag clamps that sun mountian has incorporated in their carts. I've demo'd the cart with an empty bag resting in the cradle and had difficulties keeping the bag still when walking around. Now that might be different when the bag is full, and it's something I'll try out next time I go to work (I work at Golfsmith.) If you can wait until Saturday, I'll report back on how well the clamps work with a full bag. I'll look at the handle adjustment as well.

I have a V2, not a V1, with the bag clamps and a Sun Mountain SCB bag that is oval in shape, not round. (just wanted to clarify the differences)

My bag sits fine, as the paddles push/secure the flat portion of the bag. I play a couple of courses where there is a 20-30' drop off at the front of the tee box, and I always just give a shove and let the cart/bag go flying down the hill and 50 yards down the fairway. Pretty cool to watch. :D

I have one with the bag clamps,there great,bag never turned once on me.I use a cart bag.That's why i got the cart,my other cart the bag used to turn all the time with the straps.It drove me crazy.

Thanks for the replies. If it doesn't hold my bag tight I wouldn't mind getting another one. The only reason I use a stand bag is for when it isn't in a cart. I don't have to worry about it tipping over. The velcro straps on the original ore o.k. but I hate the bungee straps. I haven't seen anyone get those tight enough to hold a bag.

mdrengl-- If you would, check on the adjustability of the handle. I'm thinking it's just like the older ones. It might be adjustable but the rear wheels are going to pull in. I wish they would put another pivot point in the handle so it could be raised or lowered like the clicgear.
