I went with the Taylormade RAC Lt's. I hit several 6 irons alongside each other at the range:

Callaway X-18
Ben Hogan Apex Edge
Mizuno MX-23
Titleist 775
Ping G5 & i5
Nike Pro Combo
Taylormade RAC Lt & OS
Cleveland CG4 (mostly just to use as a base of what I didn't want).

The RAC Lt stood out from the rest, way out. The weight was perfect, I could feel the club head in every part of my swing. The club looks incredible at address, not clunky like a game improvement club, but not as intimidating as a blade either. My demo was fitted with the S shaft (I'm assuming that's stiff) and the ball flight seemed a bit lower, but a lot more controlled. I took the Lt 6 iron out in my bag for a quick 9 at Bunker Hills exec course with my wife and a friend of hers and dropped balls at my normal 6 irons distance on most holes as well as hitting it off the turf on the tee. (The par 4's on this course are REALLY short in most cases). I hit a bunch of great shots with it, one after another. Simply put, I've never been more confident with a golf club so quickly, if at all.

My only question is this:

On the hosel it reads, "2UP/Std" Does this mean the club is 2 degrees upright? Every time I've ever been fit I always came back as standard lie, does this mean I might not be? I'm going to ask the same question at the store today when they're being fit, maybe have them place the lie sticker on this exact club when fitting me. Anyhow, while it's going to sting the wallet a little bit, I'm going to be much happier with my iron play in the long run, my handicap might even drop a little yet this year

I ended up paying more for them than that, but it turns out that while I get fitted at standard lie, I hit an iron at 2 degrees upright much more consistently in real world conditions; so I need to have them ordered. But with the way I hit them, I would've paid 700.00 - 1000.00 if neccesary.

Really excited to be in an iron that should last me at minimum, 6 years.
