Golfer's Mantra...

I played last weekend and we had to rush off the 10th tee or risk waiting another hour before teeing off and not even getting 18 holes in by the end of the day. So, after getting quite frustrated for the first 2-3 holes, I came up with this during some down time this week.

Golfer's Mantra...

I accept the full outcome of my shot, it is the product of my level of commitment and analysis of course and weather conditions. I choose the best way to play every shot before me to produce the overall lowest score based on my abilities and talents.

Any feedback? I'm ready for any 'new age' cr#p, jokes, etc... hey, if it calms me down and makes me play better, I'll sing the soundtrack to "The Sound of Music"

Or mine:

"Just hit the damn thing."

For yours, you should definitately consider adding to the end, And doggone it, people LIKE me!

A little long for a mantra, no? How about something more sucinct, like "Hit THIS shot to the target".

I always get set up, get aimed, pick my immediate target (a few inches in front of the ball), try and take the tension out of my body and just try think "nice and easy" so that I don't get quick on the downswing. Works pretty well.
