Hey guys... quick question. For the entire time I've been playing golf, I've basically used no-name putters. First one was kind of like a Bullseye... but it came with the starter set I began playing with... and I got used to it, so even when I 'upgraded' my starter set to a cheap FULL set... I kept my putter.

I got away from the game for a few years because of the birth of my first child... and my clubs were stolen from the back of my car one day shortly AFTER the birth of my first child. So... when I was ready to get back in to the game, I picked up another cheap set of clubs... Northwestern brand, from a Walmart. That set came with a putter that has NO branding on it... it just says 'TOUR' on the grip. It's like a lot of other putters I had seen at that time... kinda rectangular with a cavity in the back where the ball could cradle if I chose to pick it up with my putter... and a black insert.

When the Odyssey Sabertooth was released, I made it known that I VERY much liked the look of the putter... and on several occassions, I hit putts at the local sporting goods store with it and liked the way it felt. Today, for our anniversary, my wife purchased the putter for me. I never realized what a difference there was in, not only the LOOK of the putter while standing over it, but also the weight of the putter heads.

It's probably a good three-quarters of a pound heavier than my old putter. My basic question is... what kind of an adjustment am I going to need to make? Will the ball go FURTHER with the same swing because of the weight difference? I intend to spend three of the next five days on the practice green at my local course... so hopefully I can figure out any such adjustments, but... I'm just shocked at the difference.

I'm very excited to be using this putter as it's the first REAL putter I've used in my lifetime. I never really felt the need to upgrade my putter before, but I'm hoping that with this change, my putts per hole average will drop below 2.00 for the first time. Just never saw the putter as making that much of a difference, I guess. We'll see!
