Day 7, Some indoor practice after getting the yard mowed and stabbing myself with a briar bush removal near my back fence. Stop the swing at A3, right palm down to the ground at A6. Backswing length + downswing priority. -

From your description, you need to work on a consistent-ish club face at impact. Most practice swings have open faces and variable paths due to the conscious thought that goes into them, so you need to swing at a ball for us to help. -

thinking of experimenting with shorter shaft in driver. i know shortening the length will throw off swing weight and i will play with lead tape to see what changes i can make as i progress but my main question was about the shaft and stiffness. i normally play a stiff so would it be beneficial to get an extra stiff 5-wood shaft to compensate for club head weight? -
