u are correct, the s200 is the same flex as the s300 just lighter, s400 is heavier than the s300 so it FEELS stiffer. I really don't see the point of this thread either...... What do any of you care what flex my clubs are?

The point is that most golfers are using too stiff shafts, which can easely lead to all kinds of physical problems and besides resulting in shorter distances.

If you have a swingspeed for a Regular shaft and you want to lower a ball flight it is better to choose for a R400 than for a S300, the higher the number, the higher also the flexpoint in the shaft and a higher flexpoint, means a lower ball flight. Or opposite if you need a stiff shaft and like a higher ball flight, opt for a S200...... Besides that a lot balls eding up a nasty spot, are the result of all kinds of problems (name a few ;) ), but not seldom the wrong shaft

There is a Titleist player / coach who youtubes and tweets a lot called Ryan Chrysler. He has been doing a lot of work with PX Rifle shafts and KBS recently. He was unsure with the consistency of his PX 6.5 and got them frequency tested and discovered some of his shafts were way out one there was a variance of about 1.5 in the stiffness across the set, ie some where weak some where strong. He is now testing KBS, so all you PX users out there if you have an iron in your set that performs unusually maybe get a frequency check.

I still don't understand why there is a thread about this. Whatever I guess.

Along the same line of the topic... I've been using a Regular shaft for my driver and the uniflex on the Callaway 18xr's i have. One of the people that work at Golfsmith said that with my swing speed (Club 100mph, ball 145-150) i should be looking at a Stiff shaft. This sound about right..? And how does the Uniflex shafts on my irons compare to the other flexes?

Side note shot to my ego: turns out my golf course has some bad GPS readings that are making me feel like a pro with 260-280 drives. =( should have known it was too good to be true. I'm more in the 220-240 .. maybe 250 with a nice roll but *sigh* probably not. haha. Doesnt mean anything anyways if it takes 6-7 more shots to get in the dang hole! Baby steps...

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
