Got new irons today.

Well not brand new, they are actually about 10 years old, but a big step up from what ive had.

one of my friends went to the local golf store and asked if they had any irons with a +1 shaft. they had one set and they showed him. they were mp-67s with precision X shafts and the new white and black golf pride grips. each of those things were the exact things he wanted in the first place. so i got the call to make sure i could buy his old set for a hundred bucks.

they are titleist 990 dci's with rifle precision 6.0 shafts and lamkin grips. and i think a hundred bucks might be a good deal for the shafts alone. i have been hitting adams gt2 overcut irons, which are game improvement clubs to the extreme. the shafts are cheap, they are very offset, very oversized, they have little to no feel, and even if i think im swinging good i do not hit them very well. and when it comes to working the ball i really have to kinda fight the club to actually get it to do what i want.

so thats why i am so glad that i have these dci's now. i hit them a couple of times at the range last week and was very impressed by the feel, how easy it was to work the ball, and at how well i hit them.

needless to say im pretty exited to go and play some golf tomorrow.
