Golf clubs for a female beginner

I'm looking for ladies' super game improvement sets.
Adams Idea a7OS sets seem to have good reviews. What do you think about this set (650$) EDIT: you have to click 'specs' to see the detailed info
Or do you think this set would be better (same price).
I'm leaning toward the first option, although I'm a bit worried about the 44*PW-54*SW gap - but I guess I could just get a 50* gap wedge. The second set seems to have way too many woods and the gap still remains.
Or do you think it's just not a good idea to buy integrated sets (although I like the idea of skipping the hassle of days of choosing, searching, placing multiple orders and, in the end, paying a higher price )

10* gap won't affect you that much.

My cobra PW is 45* and the SW was 55* and I didn't find much of a distance gap.

Unless you hit the ball far (140 yard PW) you won't notice much of a difference.

I just got my wife the Adams A7OS, short set and she really likes it. It is an 8 piece set with woods, irons and putter that basically skips every other club. You can pick up the missing clubs as need. It is a less expensive way to start for decent SGI clubs.

How about the callaway solitaire set because callaway make good beginners clubs and these must be the first of the really big brands package sets

I don't have any experience with the integrated sets. But, I am in a similar situation wanting to piece together a set for my fiance.

There is a nice set of TaylorMade LCG graphite irons (women's set) w/SW in the marketplace right now, for a good price. My thought is to start with a similar set and find a nice used set of women's woods, putter, etc.

I have a set of Women's Tommy Armours listed in the For Sale section. It comes with Driver, 3 Wood, 5-PW, and putter for $125.00 shipped. You might consider them as a cheap way to get her started and make sure she's going to stick with it.

That's the exact same set except it's stripped down (7 clubs instead of 14 clubs), I've considered this one, too. However, you can get it for 400-450$ so 200$ more is not that much for twice as many clubs. Would you recommend the A7OS set or would you choose something else if you had the chance?

She's already had a 2-month test-period and she's pretty sure she's going to stick with it, that's why we decided to buy a more expensive set. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

@ET-Taylor, delav - the reason why I chose Adams is because they won women's hybrids and super game improvement irons Golf Digest Hot Lists 4 or 5 times in a row. Is the Hot List trustworthy? I mean, Callaway and TaylorMade are definitely big. I have a TaylorMade set myself. But in this case, are they better than A7OS?

mspunk13 - I'm sure the adams set is a great option. If you've got the $, I'd bet its a great balance for a beginner.

Clothing manufacturers make petite women's clothes. And golf companies make petite clubs for women less than 5-foot-2 in height. My wife got one of the early Square 2 Petite sets back in 1989 or so - Nancy Lopez promoted the line, and Adams has picked it up recently.

Basically the petites start about an inch shorter in shaft than standard women's clubs. Several major club makers have petite sets now, such as Wilson Pro Staff Women's Petite and Mizuno Sora. The taylormade burners are good i had the 3 wood 07' and I got rid of it because I launched it too high which is a good thing because it helps you get the ball in the air
