Proper weight training can improve your game greatly. Improper weight training can hurt your game. Proper weigh traning would avoid many exercises that would add bulk to your chest.

I dont necessarily agree with this one. If you turn your shoulders to capacity, strong upper pecs will help increase the coil effect of the upper body following the lower body. A stronger/bulkier chest may require you to work harder at coming across with your torso though, which is probably why you don't see golfers with huge chests... however, just because they don't have huge bodybuilder chests (that takes a LOTTTT of work), doesn't mean they don't have strong chests.

The mechanics of the back muscles are closely intertwined with the upper chest muscles.
