I'm selling my starter set on a Norwegian website but I'm not sure what price I should ask for. The retail price of the set was 300 $ (bought it from TGW) but I'm selling used clubs without the putter and bag which came in the package.
Here are pictures to give you an idea of the conditions of the clubs:

I can't upload them on here so I posted the links

Just to give you an idea of what normal prices are here, I'm going to list a few examples:
Ping G15 4-PW (steel) = 980$ vs. 611 $ (edwin watts)
Callaway Golf X22 4-PW (steel) = 960 $ vs. 613 (edwin watts)
You can see that the prices are much higher than in the US.

So how much should I ask for these clubs (Driver, 3 Wood, 4 hybrid, 5-SW)?

Thanks for the help,
andef

Any suggestions? I saw that some old sets are going for 160 $ without driver so I'm thinking that 150 $ or a little more will be a fair price since I couldn't find any LH sets (harder to find = higher price?)

not very much.

I'd say max $100, the clubs are pretty beat up, not that great and it doesn't come with a bag or putter.
What good is that to a beginner?
also they're left handed.

that's what i was thinking but all the sets on the website where i plan to sell mine are listed at 160$ or more, with some in much worse conditions.

Plus I can add the bag in the deal although it's not in the best of conditions. What I meant for LH clubs is that it's a lot harder to find them and so it'll be easier for me to sell them over the large amount of RH sets available

Put it up at just under the rest of the people's offers so you'll get more views.

LH clubs are a small market, there'll be fewer people interested in buying.

I agree with you, I think that I'll put a price of 800/900 NOK vs. the usual 1100 NOK or more that sets go for.
I might be interested in putting the clubs on ebay with a starting price of around 600 NOK

it is very difficult to sell non name branded golf clubs. In addition to that you are selling to a MUCH smaller audience being left handed (I have the same types of issues as I play component based clubs and am left handed as well)

If you break it down by value, and lets just assume that the bag and putter had an original value of approx. $50 total (of the original $300) than the remaining value is approx. $240, if you think they are probably worth about 50% of that, I would think you should expect to get somewhere around $120 for them.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

That's about what I was looking to sell them for seeing that golf clubs are very expensive here and so many beginners want to start with a used set instead of spending 2000 $ to get some beginner brand clubs.

    • Day 36: back to some mirror work tonight. Need a bit more forearm roll in my feels to help with the shallowing.
    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
    • I haven't been able to practice like I wanted and won't for the next week.  1. The weather sucks in Ohio this year. I have been mostly inside hitting foam balls. Just kind of my basic stuff.  2. I woke up last Saturday with a left side rib muscle on fire. If I turned or leaned a certain way it would spasm that almost buckled my knees. I have been taking a break to let that settle. I don't want to get a long term injury. I think I pinched a nerve or just aggravated a muscles.   3. I am going on a mini-vacation to Florida (screw you Ohio weather) with a friend, and rolling that into a work conference I have next week. I will be with out my clubs for a week.  I will be back next in two Fridays to hit the ground running with some warmer temps and better weather in Ohio, hopefully. I would really like to get more out on the course and the range.
