Hi all. Last week on golf channel's the golf fix, Michael Breed was showing some techniques on practicing trouble shots, particularly shot where your ball is up beside a bunker, where you would basically turn your back to the target and chip sideways. I have been having trouble with finding a consistent swing bottom on my pitch shots, mostly because I have too much hip movement and I can't seem to hold off the finish. I have to release the clubhead or my wrists hurting. So, I was in my yard today, practicing 50 yd pitch shots with the sand wedge, and I decided to try that trouble shot I described earlier, and all of a sudden, I had a good bit of consistency and my club was staying in the hold off position. The only difference was that I was turned 90* to the right of my normal stance, hitting back behind my back. Apparently it also took away my sway troubles. Has anyone tried doing this on a consistent basis, or at least to practice what it feels like to not release the club for pitch shots?

Your desire to change has to be greater than your desire to stay the same.
