I have recently gotten a new driver and for the first week I was hitting it perfectly. Now all of a sudden I am hitting it on the heel of the club. I have tried to stand farther away from the ball and the same happens, unless I really exaggerate it and stand uncomfortably far away from the ball. Can you give me any tips on what to do to hit it more in the center of the club. Thank you.

I sometime have that problem, usually once a year then I figure it out. This is what works for me so it might not apply to you.

I noticed that after a few golf games every year, I started to do alot of those shots because my swing became faster then what it was during the beggining of the golf season. I would try to generate more distance off the tee, which is fine because after not playing for some months, it takes me awhile to "feel good" again in my swing.

Anyway by getting my swing faster, I didn't adjust the "release" with my hands. Not sure if it's the proper way to say it. But my hands were way in front of my club head at the point of impact, because they got there alot faster.

So when I notice that I'm doing that, I just concentrate of having a good release with my hands.

I hope this helps a bit.

Thank you. I will try this as soon as the weather clears up. :(
