Rombax R75, TM version

Any one use this shaft? What are your experiences with it? I figured I would pick up a used 08' tour burner tp and give it a whirl, and it has this shaft. My fti's are also open faced, and I prefer it that way, but have grown tired of that noise and the shape. I know the rombax will have a lower trajectory compared to my xcon6, but is it a quality shaft?

i'd be more worried about if the shaft fits you... Basically you want to be able to swing easy and get the ball with a good trajectory. If you have to swing harder to get the ball in the air that's gonna cause a lot of problems

Yay, the handicap card.......never seen that coming......AT ALL. Maybe it needs to be an annotated HC, implying maybe I can't putt for crap.

My driver misses are hooks/draws, and I have had a couple of closed face drivers, and I hook even worse with them. I have no problem hitting an open faced driver, and have been doing so just fine, thanks.


Back to the question....opinions on the shaft?

And you obviously didnt read my opinion
got hit it in a sim and get everything calculated
the shaft is fine, its more important that it fits you perfectly

Unfortunately, a sim for me means taking it to the range, after I already have it. I am getting my ss measured tomorrow, but i have to travel for that. If I am lucky, maybe they will have a club with that shaft in their demo department, but isn't it an older model? Getting the ball up isn't really an issue for me, I get lots of height with the xcon, so something with a mid/low kp shouldn't be too much af an issue. Which stock rombax is it closest to?

i'm sure its fine though.
If yuo're getting it up fine its just a matter of getting lessons and working on your swing. Unless you dont like the length. Like i hate how my burner is 46+ inches more than anything

It is a z75, not an r75, so that's probably why my googling was returning nothing but crap. Still, all i get are arguments about which model it is based on. Are TM shafts made specifically for TM, or are they just repainted standard models?
