Re-Establishing Tempo

I have been striking the ball really well lately, but played in my regular 2 man scramble yesterday evening and wasnt quite as sharp. It wasn't awful, but I definitely felt like I was getting quick. The only problem with tempo is, as soon as you think about it, it stops being smooth. It almost has to be involuntary. I am trying to get below a 3 by the end of the year and do not need to post any bad scores right now. I am not trying to drastically change anything, so I was wondering, how do you get your tempo back on the right track when it gets a little screwy? Range time is not an option right now, but I am able to hit a few practice balls in the back yard.

I know a few guys the say a mantra in their head during their swing to help get tempo back, the most well know one is saying "Ernie" on the way back and "Els" on the way through

      Great year last year. Who winning this year could be another special story? Brooks? Spieth? Or Aberg? An AM? I dont know if anything could top last year

      I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!

      I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
