Weird stats from yesterday's round...

This morning while watching the British Open coverage I was going over my round from yesterday afternoon. I shot 81 (which for that course from those tees is ok), but my fairways hit and GIR were a bit "off" to say the least. I hit only 1 fairway but hit 13 GIR. Granted I hit all the par 3's (there are 5) and missed the fairway on all the par 5's but still hit the GIR on all of them after laying up (there are 3). I also had 5 par 4's where I missed the fairway but still had a decent shot at the green.

Is it just me or the spread between FW/GIR a little off?

Apparently the rough isn't too thick where you play :P

      Great year last year. Who winning this year could be another special story? Brooks? Spieth? Or Aberg? An AM? I dont know if anything could top last year

      I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!

      I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
