I'm well aware of the air compressor method, but my winn midsize isn't complying to it. Is there any other way to remove the grip without cutting it off?

I think you can use a syringe and inject solvent under the grip and it should slide off. In theory anyway. I have heard about mixed results.

Quite frankly, it will be much less time and effort (and probably cost) to cut it off and put on a new one.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

Maybe you could use a bicycle lubricant since it doesn't damage rubber along with the air compressor.

Take a wire hanger and bend it into a tight loop, then work the hanger down the shaft adding grip solvent as you go. Work all the way around until the solvent dissolves the bond between the grip and tape. It's a PITA but doable.

This is a good way to do it. When in doubt combine this with air. I tend to giver grips a blast of air, and if I can't get that to work, I try a heat gun and iar. If that doesn't work I use knife unless I really, really, really want to save the grip

This hanger and solvent worked like a charm. I just tried it and it took only 5 minutes...no mess. Cut my driver down to 44 inches re-grip and waiting for it to dry. Hell, it's getting cold again in Chicago so it will dry in time for spring.
