My friend was willing to bet money that Ping had more players sponsored by them on the PGA tour. We were in the 18th grandstand at St Andrews on Sunday at this point, but i couldn't make the bet because i wasn't sure. I am 80% sure that Taylormade have more, but I think a general poll here will suffice. Thanks :)
What I Play:
Wilson Mini Stand Bag | PING G10, 10.5°, Proforce V2 HL S | PING G5, 15°, 18°, Aldila NV 75 S | PING G5, 19°, Aldila VS Proto By You 80 S
Mizuno MX200 4-PW S | Ping Tour W 50/12 X | Ping Tour W 58/TS X | A selection of putters, all 35.5 inches.

If we're just comparing Ping and Taylormade, I think it's probably Taylormade. That said, I suspect that there are probably more players sponsored by Callaway or Nike than either of the other two. I have no empirical evidence of this, it's just my observation.
My Implements of Destruction (carried in a Hoofer Lite bag):

DRIVER: Big Bertha Diablo 10 degree draw, Aldila regular flex
FAIRWAY WOODS: G2 14 degree 3 wood & 17 degree 5 wood
IRONS: S59 3-PWWEDGES: M/B 54, 58, & 60 degree PUTTER: I Series Anser 4 (or G5i Anser, Anser 2F, or original...

i don't know if these lists encompass the entirety of players sponsored, but the PING and callaway websites both list their tour players. i think there might be a difference between players sponsored by a company and a "staff pro." taylormade doesn't have one of these lists on their website.

Taylor Made. Not only players under staff but also they win the driver and woods counts most weeks because some other players play their drivers/woods.

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I strongly disagree... I think it's TaylorMade by a landslide...

Out of the golf arm of a massive global athletic conglomerate and a family-run business operating out of Phoenix, which one would you expect to have the resources to maintain a large tour staff?

Kinda obsessive about this, aren't you?

No, not really. I didn't know for sure either, but I had a good feeling it was TaylorMade... so I looked it up. Once I posted TM's players I thought I'd just post 'em all for comparison. It was just a cut & paste from Wikipedia...

If I am not mistaken Taylor Made also has a much less strict # of clubs rule. I cant remember your exact #'s but some of them require you to play as many as 10 or 11 of the companies clubs to qualify as a staff and recieve the perks (Callaway is the most strict).

Just a FYI (I can imperically prove this, but I was told) for years Mizuno was the leader in irons, bucause they would take a set of MP-14s and stamp what ever company you'd like on them. I have a set of "Cobra" stamped MP's.

Ping is making some awfully good clubs lately.

Ping has always made awfully good clubs, not just lately.

I believe that's correct. For example, Brian Gay and Henrik Stenson became TM staff players this year, even though both players still keep their previous sponsor's iron sets in their bags (Mizuno and Srixon, respectively), playing with woods and balls only. Switching to branded irons is a requirement of most other OEMs.

You don't see arrangements like what was explained in the second paragraph anymore. Most companies produce a forged players' iron, which wasn't the case as recently as a decade ago. If you take a look at pros' bags from the late 90s-early 2000s, you'll see a lot of Ben Hogans, Mizunos, and MacGregors, because those were the three major OEMs making forged clubs. Any other forged blade-type iron you may find (Nike, TaylorMade, Callaway, etc.) are actually made by Miura, stamped with the name of the company who commissioned them.

Pretty Sure Titleist has a very long list as well...

I would go with this..

Most used driver:

Taylor Made

Most Used Irons:

Callaway or Titleist

Most Used Putter:

Scotty Cameron

Wedges:

Vokey

Shoes: Footjoy

Ball:
Titleist
