I was in a golf store and they had my irons (AP1-s) with the same shaft I have except these had JUMBO Lamkin crossline grips. I hit some balls with them just for the hell of it and they felt amazing in my hands. I always thought the standard size grip was too small. According to glove size and the B.S. grip fitting tables I see on websites I was always a standard. It doesn't take into account the musculature of your hands (mine are) the cavity in your palms and whether or not you have long or short fingers. Mine are long so standard grip sucks.
So.. Long story shorter I grabbed 2 of the new Golf Pride tour wraps in mid size (I have the multi compound and I hate em) and put one on my 4 iron and one on my 7 iron and I love that grip and I'm going to regrip completely but here comes the real question.
I put my grips on with no tape.
But I'm thinking I might add some tape to get em a little bigger. But how much? I dont wanna go jumbo. I think the jumbos were a little too big and I lose the fingerttip grip I've been working so hard on.
So how do I add tape to figure out size?
I was thinking of adding one wrap to my 5 iron and 2 wraps to the 6 and then just hit my 4,5,6,7 with the new grips and see which felt the best. Does anyone use 3 wraps? When does the tape + midsize = Jumbo roughly?

Thanks for reading and hopefully helping.
P.S. These new tour wraps are AWESOME if you're not a cord fan.
