I saw the Nike + Sportband and it has really caught my interest. It uses the same Nike+ sensor for the iPod as well when it comes to running. I want to know if anyone has used this for golf. I want to track my calorie burning and etc when I go out and play. A big issue that comes up is "Well the device wont account for the weight of the golf bag", but it IS however a heart rate monitor and carrying a weight on your back will increase your heart rate.

The only thing I am afraid of is that golf is a sport where you walk and stop, walk and stop, walk and stop, then bend down, and walk around, then walk some more. The Nike+ (iPod) line of devices are used for walking and running as a workout. For example, its perfect for taking a 2 mile jog around the neighborhood. I don't see any reason why it WOULDN'T work for a golfer, but at the same time I don't know if the thing will be like "Hey, the dude stopped walking for 15 seconds, that must mean the workout has stopped momentarily."

If you don't have any experience with this particular device, are there any other devices you know of that work?

Thanks!
