Hey fellas , I am thinking about buying some new irons and wanted to get some opinions. I want to switch to blades , I consider myself a good ball striker with my current irons. I know the r7's are more forgiving than blades but I feel I need to make the switch to improve my game. I bought my current irons off the rack and never got them fitted. So do you think I should get my r7's bent or should I get fitted for blades ?

Whether you decide to get new club or stay with the R7s, you should go get fitted and see what the proper length and lie are for you. Obviously, if a change does indeed need to be made, getting the r7s bent will be the cheaper option. However, if you want to move to a club that you feel gives you more workability, there is nothing wrong with that. Just hit a lot of different clubs and be open about it. Don't be too set on blades, a nice players cavity may be the answer. The Mizuno blades seem to be very popular on these forums if you do go that route; also, a lot of people seem to like the Titleist 710 series (both the MBs and CBs) and the AP2s.
