My son writes left handed but seems to swing both a baseball bat and golf club better right handed. He's only seven though so part of it may just be general coordination. I'm torn between letting him keep swinging right handed or give him a shot at left handed clubs.

do everything righty except golf and baseball. Not sure why but thats how its always been. I do notice I have a lot of control as my right arm is dominate

And this day in age getting equipment as a lefty is really not impossible thanks to the internet. You can't however try most clubs at a local store which is a bumer, but also saves my wallet :)

Im right-handed and play Lefty. In my case I have always played hockey Left Handed (very popular in Canada for a player to play his opposite hand for more finesse). So swinging a club Lefty feels like a slap shot and feels natural.

i think from reading all the posts one thing is clear. It doesnt matter whether your a lefty playing left or right or vice versa its what feels most natural and comfortable. For me playing as a right handed player always felt contrived so playing left handed was and is always going to be better for me. Thats not to say its the same for anyone else and i guess its each to their own. My handicap only got down to 7 due to lots of hard work, good course management and a good touch on the greens. i was never a particularly good ball striker with the ball often going very low and my bad shot being a hook. Hopefully playing as a left hander with the proper body positioning and spine angle it gives me a much better foundation for a consistent and repeatable action.
