This is just my entirely unfounded conjecture, but I feel that there is a balance point with every club. If you hold the club too much toward the end of the grip, it feels "head-heavy." If you hold it too close to the shaft, it feels stiff. But there's a place where it feels just right, and for me that is around 1 to 1-1/2 inches from the end of the grip. The club feels like it's a part of you, instead of this thing in your hands. Especially with the driver.
