Happens once in awhile with a high spin ball and depending on how the greens react. Usually happens for me for roughly 8,9, PW shots. I once tee'ed off on a par 3 with a 7 iron and had the ball land 2 ft from the pin and watched as the ball sucked back 10 ft off the green.
I've actually found that when the greens are very soft, it doesn't roll back nearly as much. The ball punches down on the green leaving a deep divot and hops once or so. Fast greens however... high trajectory + high spin = sucks back quite a bit.

Typically, a good shot for me sucks back about 2-3 ft.

yeah I was going to mention the green was inclined towards me, thats the reason it came back so far. if its a flat green it will spin about 3-4 feet judging from the divot.

20 feet isn't so unbelievable on softer greens. I've spun Maxflis back 15 feet with a brand new pitching wedge, but the greens were like shag carpet, and the ball grabbed instantly, and sucked back that far with little problem on a very solidly struck shot.

Crowd pleaser for sure. People love to see the ball spin back.

My ball is more of a hit and stop (within a couple ft). And maybe the occasional 1ft spin back.
