I've just realized that I have a habit of lifting my head bait thru impact, a la David Duval or Annika Sorenstam. I consider myself a pretty decent ball striker but am considerably better when my head is down, any tips? Thanks!

I have this problem, too. I try to exaggerate my "head down time", which in other words means I keep my head down a little bit longer than normal. This helps me stay down on the ball and not come out of shots. Similar to how you see some folks hold there head steady until a second or 2 after they've struck their putts......it helps me at least.

I used to do this a lot!! I had a lesson where the guy teaching me picked it out.

There are probably better ways, but I worked through it by wearing a baseball cap with a peak, and concentrating on staring at the ground till I could count to 2 i.e... Swing through, 1-1000, 2-2000 and then look up. The peak of the cap acted as a kind of "blinker", though this may have been a placebo. Someone else may have a better idea, but that was how I got past it...

I am having the same issue now and when i really concentrate and don't look down the target line before i hit the ball on the downswing I can hit some really good shots. I lose focus on keeping my head down quite often with ball striking and chipping. That's my biggest goal this year now since i cured most of my flipping.
