November's Golf Digest calls it The Forgotten Bet, but I have seen it as TheLostBet photo. Arnold Palmer handing a fifty to Jack Nicklaus just after a round on a Houston course. What a fantastic photo of golf's two greatest legends. I never play anymore without a little something riding on the outcome.

yeah, i agree that it was more about the bragging rights than anything else. The more I read about money and golf the more curious I am about the average joe golfer and what he bets on rounds.
