Anybody own a front projection TV with 1080p for daily TV, movie watching and PS3 gaming for the kids?

I have a large family room that is approximately 20 feet wide by 32 feet long that can handle a front projection.

1) What is the cost?
2) How good is the picture compared to Plasma or LCD?
3) Do you need to room to be pitch dark?
4) How is regular channel and HD channels
5) How is Blue Ray films
6) How are PS3 games or X box games in HD?
7) Do you recommend front projection if you have the room
8) Estimated life of the front projector?
