So I bought these FJ Contours about 10-11 months ago, and I started noticing my socks gettings wet yesterday...course was soggy but I wasn't walking in any puddles really...

How does the waterproof warranty work with FJ? I'm hoping to go in and find my buddy at Golf Town and convince him to give me a new pair!

How do retailers deal with this situation?

Cheers

ps yes I have the receipt

answered my own question on FJ's site, here's the info if anyone else would like to know!

2. Limited Waterproof Warranty
FootJoy warrants that certain FootJoy golf shoes purchased in the United States will be waterproof in normal use for two years or one year (depending on the actual style purchased) from the date of original purchase, provided that the shoes have suffered no cuts, abrasions, or other damage and have not been subjected to abuse or other mistreatment.

Should leakage develop within the applicable Limited Warranty period, FootJoy will issue credit for such shoes as follows:
(I) if shoes are returned during the first year of any warranty period, FootJoy will replace the shoes with the same style or equivalent FootJoy shoe, and
(II) if shoes are returned during the second year of a two-year warranty period, the purchaser will be credited with 50% of the then current cost toward the purchase of the same style or equivalent FootJoy shoe.

Here is a little hint for all golfers. I had the same problem with FJ and they do stand behind their shoes they in fact gave me some insite. When I called them about my problem they told me something very interesting. They recommended that after each and every round wash the outside your shoes off with water. Especially around the sole to top interface. The pestisides and such that is put on the grass will start to rot away at shoes and effect the waterproofing material. I have started to do this for the past two years or so and not only do your shoes look cleaner all my shoes are still water proof even after the warantee is up. Now if can only get my wife to stop screaming at me when I clean them in the kitchen sink with the spray nozzle.

I had the same problem and starting using "Aqua seal" and works great! The liquid aqua seal works better because I can apply it between the sole and upper.
