When I was playing well, back in the beginning of the summer, I was hitting my 7i 150yds without any real problem. Due to a lot of personal & family problems this summer I have only played about 10-12 rounds the entire summer (I normally play around 2-3 times a week).
I played yesterday, and I had a lot of problems where I was comong up short with my irons, I was struggling to get 150yds with my 5i.
I was at the club today while my daughter was having her lesson with the Pro, I just mentioned to her about my loss of distance, and she told me to hit some balls so she could take a look at my swing, she imediately identified my problem, I had lost my wrist action, she said it was basically due to lack of play and practice.
I went out the back of my house tonight (I live on the 10th hole) to practice what she had told me, it took me a little while but after 10-15 mins concentrating on my wrist action, I was back hitting my 6i 150yds, I just wanted to share with you that just a simple 10 min chat with the pro can make a big difference.
Although I felt I played terrible yesterday, I still shot an 85, which is prety much to my handicap, I can't wait to get out and practice a little more and then start shooting back in the 70's!
