I am needing some help here guys...

I am hitting the X Speed LD Pro 3 wood from Cobra and love it as the Baffler Pro 2H I picked up today in MINT condition, all because of the Fujikura Speeder shaft in them.
I have borrowed a X Speed Pro driver from a buddy of mine who knows this guy that used to use it and its in very good condition and I am going to test it out tomorrow.

Anyways,
I am going to be getting a new driver for my birthday in about three weeks and would like to know how this one might compare against the S2 driver. I have heard some good things for both..

- VR Pro LTD - 9.5 Ahina X

- VR_S 3, 5 woods - Fubuki X

- VR Pro Combo - 3-Pw S300's
nike.gif - VR VRev Wedges - 52, 58

- Method 001 - 34in.

- 20XI-S

- 20XI Staff Bag

I haven't hit the S2 driver myself, but I do play the Cobra x-stiff Speed Pro S (shallow face) driver, which has the Fujikura speeder shaft in as you've mentioned, and personally I think it's fantastic

No offset (square to open clubface), which lets you power through the ball, though it is quite loud (but I don't mind that!). The main difference appears to be the AFT (adjustable flight technology) on the S2, but if you don't need that I would plum for the x speed pro which is aimed at the better ball driver. From the experience of having owned the Cobra L5V I much prefer the speed pro (didn't use the AFT anyway - always set to neutral!).

It is also currently a much better deal (second hand or new) due to being a 2007 model driver. In the UK the Speed Pro typically goes for £99 ($160) brand new, and £65 ($105) second hand at the moment.

Well it sounds like I'll have to put it up to the test then. I'll go grab a demo after work here in a bit and see what its like compared to the X Speed Pro

The S2 is so forgiving like sometimes i think re tee then the ball just goes out of the fairway

This really doesn't surprise me, I expect you will find the S2 is much more forgiving than the Speed Pro. I guess it will probably fall down to the individual and most people will go for forgiveness over anything else (which is quite sensible)...

Well I hit the X Speed ProS driver and I must say it was pretty nice, although the Callaway Diable Edge Tour is a little nicer as far as the shape, sound, feel, and distance go.

A+ = Callaway
A = Cobra

So more than likely I'll go with the Edge Tour driver even though it doesn't have the Speeder shaft in it like my hybrid and 3 wood, the Habanero shaft is no slouch for my swing; I really enjoy it.
