I have been thinking about golf habitually. I am very excited about swing changes I am making. I believe I can take four shots off my index by the middle of the summer. If I do I will be a 6.5 and I consider that pretty good. I have also been working out and getting stronger. Don't know if it is making me longer but something defineitely changed late last year. I have gotten longer then and now I am adapting to the S&T; model. I like it allot and I am hitting it farther than ever and straighter than ever. I figured something out. No idea what. I just try to swing more athletically and it added distance. Also changed clubs and that added confidence.

My plans are for the year are:

1) Get a video Camera and join that club that Eric and Dave are doing. From my understanding I can get remote instruction on all parts of my swing. I don't want an instructor here. I don't want someone to tell me I need to shift off the ball and confusing me.

2) Practice every Thursday. I was in a league last year and I am not doing it again. I will practice instead. I think I will improve this way. Probably a combo of balls and pitching putting. There is a range and nice practice green abou

3) Play every Saturday Morning. I plan on playing around 7 so I can get my yard work done in the afternoon. I can't do much more than this because of my family.

4) I have 4 tournements I am planning on playing in. The first is my club championship at the Vineyard Golf Course. Two rounds, flighted, I hope to make it in the second flight. It takes 75ish the first day to do that. I got third place of the 4th flight last year with an 86, 83. I also plan on playing the northern Ky Am. It is a match play event. First day qualifying. I think I can qualify. Last year 83, 83 got in the match play. It is 3 flights. The third is the Met Stroke Play Championship. It is 3 rounds, cut after 2 rounds, scratch. I will get killed but it will let me play against the best and it is a place I have never played and one of the most prestigious clubs in the city (Kenwood). The fourth is the Met Mid Am. It is also a scratch event and 2 rounds, no cut. I have no chance in this as well. Also at a private club that I have never played at. If I play well and have money I plan on doing this. I know I can't play with the best in the city yet but I love the pressure of competitive golf. It really lets you know if you can play.

I hope this is my year. I want to be able to play. I want to compete.

Brian
