Four man best ball 3-27

I organized a small four man best ball gathering at my home course today, was a little frustrated from trying to get the late shows on their teams and to the first tee. This basically caused me to start hacking at the ball with way too quick a swing, coming over the top, and generally blowing up everywhere. By the time I settled down, I decided it was a good day to drink a few beverages and just enjoy "golf" versus trying to shoot a score. Ended up with a 96 with a couple horrific blowup holes, huge backslide from my 84 last week...but I think it's the most fun I've had on the course in the last year.

I did run to the range on Sunday to work on the fix. Immediately felt my right elbow "flying" on the backswing causing the over the top move. It started raining on already soggy ground at the range, so I didn't hit many irons, the few 7irons I did hit felt very good with a nice little draw. Switched to hitting 3wd/driver off the tee so I wouldn't tear up the range. Felt fantastic when I kept the right arm connected and was hitting the ball the best I have all year. We had a decent 15mph tailwind which was fun. For now I'm going to just go with two swing thoughts...work on a taking the club straight back at takeaway, and making sure to keep the right elbow tucked at the top of the backswing.
