Back in the swing of things

After being gone for a while from golf due to a few injuries, I'm back in the swing of things (pun intended).

Played a junior tournament today. It's a $5 entry fee to walk 18 holes. It was based on a 36 point stableford system. For those that aren't familiar with this, I'll explain. Say you're an 8 handicap. You'd need 28 points (36-8=28) to make the 36 points for 18 holes. The points are awarded as follows: Double eagle = 16. Eagle = 8. Birdie = 4. Par = 2. Bogey = 1. Anything worse = 0. We only got to play 8 holes because of the rain that came in (Scared me half to death. Lightning struck a tree about 20 yards away from me. I'm assuming that 50% of the people around me, including our golf coach, needed a change of pants).

I got 18 points for 8 holes. Only needed 14. Won $30 in pro shop credit to my home course. New hat for me! haha.
