Well as some of you may know (if you have been reading my blogs) that I have put on a marathon of golf over the past few weeks
We have our second baby due any day, so i am trying to get as much golf in as possible
Over the past 2.5 weeks I have posted over 15 rounds
As they say, play more than you practice....well i dont know who "they" is, but its true

I have dropped my index from 5.6 to 3.1 in this time
My worst score being 77, best is 71
Everything just clicks now.....except my damn driving - STILL SO INCONSISTENT is frusterating as hell
I ordered a new Ping Rapture Driver 3 weeks ago and it is yet to show up.....it couldnt come any sooner
i have lost all confidence in my 905T, i dont even eant to pull it out

Inside 85 yds, is within 3feet of the pin all day long - kinda neat

I have a couple bigger tournaments coming up in a month or so - our club Championship and our Open Tourney
both pretty big deals for me and the open brings in some good golfers from all over the city/province
I want to ensure i stay consistent and have some good ball striking
Beleive it or not, my putting has been really good - I owe this all to my PING Anser......i think!! hahaha!
multiple rounds uner 30 putts, lowest being 26 (thats my 71 day)

couple more rounds in that par or slightly better range, and i should be down under a 3 in no time....fingers crossed
I have been meaning to post some vid's of my swing, as I have made some significant changes....but need someone there to record it for me....stay tuned

Last night i was in a weird mindset and shot 40 from the whites!!! not sure WTF happenned there, but followed it up w a scrambled up 36 this am from the tips again (couldnt get off the tee, as usual)
dunno man....weird.......

Well, better get my ass to work for a few hours, then maybe to the range if my driver shows up

until next time..........

enis out
"My swing is homemade - but I have perfect flaws!" - Me

driver showed up today
its huge......as in LONG bomber....

need to take it out tomorrow for a test run (looks good on the range though)
"My swing is homemade - but I have perfect flaws!" - Me

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
