Fixing my Driver Greg Norman Style

In the last year, my golf game has been hindered by a horrible slice. With the impending varsity season looming large, I have been working with a swing coach at my local country club. His name is Trevor Jaycox. He has encouraged my use of a fade with my irons, and is currently helping me with my slice. I still seem to want to fade the ball a bit, but It is getting better. What I have been doing is what he says Greg Norman did when HE reworked his swing. In order to hit a draw rather than a slice, I tee the ball up on the side of a hill (as a drill of course

) and swing "with the hill". By this he means swing along the countour of the hill, the swing outward to create a spin on the ball moving right to left and tumbling slightly. Seeing as I have only been working with this for 2 weeks, I have only hit 2 slices (both in a lesson/round with him this afternoon) and am very happy. It is, as Trevor put it
"Day and night with your swing, Adam."

All in all I did not play my afternoon nine well, but I am progressing. By golf season (Aug. 25th) I should be more consistent. Can't wait for the season to start and to join the NENY JPGA next spring!!!!
