Played in the County Junior Fourball's Final today.
My partner Alan (10 handicapper) and I was against a 6 handicapper and a 15 handicapper.

It was a great game, we were 3 down for most of it and were 2 down with 4 to play.
I won the 15th hole and had a easy putt on 16 to level it off and missed it.......
My Alan then sunk a monster putt on 17 to bring it down to the 18th.
If we win the 18th then our team overall wins and gets through to the Munster finals, we were the last group out so if we lose it goes to a playoff 3 hole playoff.

My driver had been on working great for most of the round but when I get nervous for some reason I end up pulling it. Put it straight into the trees on the left. Alan smokes a drive down the middle and has a 5 foot par putt to win the hole...... And it lips out........

Down to the 1st hole it goes. I put another Pro V1 into the trees but hit a good second tee shot. The 6 handicapper also messed up so it was alan against the 15 handicapper. They both end up making a bogey. I thought we would win the second hole as we both had par putts but out of nowhere the 6 handicapper holes his chip for a birdie. 1 down 1 to play. So we walk down to the long par 3 3rd.

I was the only person to hit the green and had a long undulating putt. Alan messed up his bunker shot and the 15 handicapper didn't hit a great chip either. The 6 handicapper though hit a shot to around 6 feet. I proceed to mis-read the putt and hit it too firm leaving me with a 8 footer for par. I miss it, he doesn't.
Game Over.

It was a great experience and all the lads from both teams followed us around for the playoff, felt like I was on tour.
But that putt on 16 will haunt me for a long time....

That's crushing. Had a friend on my golf team for school that had a 3 foot putt to qualify to go to the state championships and lipped it out. Thought he was gonna snap his putter. LOL. Sounds like a good time for all.

I'd go crazy if that happened to me. Not on the course but when I got home I'd be seriously pissed off.

I've got a singles matchplay game coming up on thursday, my last game in the tournament went to a play-off and I managed to win it. Hopefully I'll be able to close this one off before it goes to playoff, I don't want to be in one for a while.
