It's been a few weeks since my last post, so here's some updates. First, I dropped a stroke off my handicap and if I keep it up a few more are coming off. Last 4 rounds have been: 91, 90, 89, & 89. The last two could have been 85 or lower. A couple major blow up holes are what killed my score both rounds.

My golf game has went from feeling lucky to make a Par to expecting to par a hole (not that I do that, but I expect it). I got my first non chip in Eagle last week and have had at least 1 birdie per round for the last 4 or 5 rounds. I've switched up my short game approach to a more bump and run style of chipping. I don't know why I tried to use my SW for all my chips in the past, but I'm doing loads better with Gap and PW (or 9 iron). The putting has been great too. I used to dread putting, but it's quickly become the reason my scores have went from high 90's to high 80's.

I'm playing tomorrow morning and fully expect to shoot or break 85. If I can get through the first 4 holes relatively unscathed, I'll do okay. Also, since I've been coming up short more than going long, I'm going to take an extra club on shots I'm between clubs on. I'll try an report back with how the round went.
