Just going to write down what I would like to accomplish in my practice sessions.

This could take a little while to implement, but I want to have very organized and recorded practice sessions.

Note: I use 14 balls as that is how many I have in my shag bag. It's also a good amount because it's enough to use a shag bag but not enough to have your balls run into each other (not often, at least) while practicing the short game.

MAKE IT A HABIT TO READ EVERY, SINGLE, PUTT YOU HAVE. THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND WILL LEARN MORE ABOUT GREEN READING THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE.

PRE ROUND/PRE DRILL WARMUPS:

Warm up either chipping or putting depending on availability (only one pin for practice pitching up to 30y).

Putting warm up for square stroke:
Place two tees into ground in front of cup 1 1/2 balls apart. Warm up getting the face square. Putt from 5 feet. If 6/6 is achieved, take out the tees and move to 10 feet. Make 6/6. If pitching green opens up by then, start on that warm up.

Putting warm up for green speed: Lag three balls from 30-60ft, 14 times. Putt out.

Putting warm up for make able longer putts and green reading: Putt 2 balls from random distances 10-20 feet. Do this 14 times. Putt out outside 3 feet (yikes, don't miss it that bad).

Pitching/chipping warm-up: Place balls all around the green at very random distances 10-30y spread. 14 balls preferably. Pitch away. Get the feel warmed up for the day. Remember to practice like you play. As many practice swing as you need to feel comfortable with how the shot will play out. Pick up balls with shag bag and repeat 3 more times.

OFF THE GREEN DRILLS:

Up and down drill: Place 14 balls in circle around green (assuming a poor ball striking day 4/18 GIR) Starting at 5-10y chip and runs from the fringe. Write down the amount of gimmes out of 18. Putt out anything outside 3 feet. Write down up and downs out of 18. Write down an estimate average non gimme par putt length. Also, write down total over par by including any birdie chip ins.

Repeat for 10y rough pitches, 20y rough/tight lie pitches (75% from the rough, 25% from tight lie to simulate short of green in fairway), 30y rough/tight lie pitches (same ratio).

5 to 10y tight lie chips: + - par with /14 up and downs. /14 within 3 feet and average par putt length outside of 3 feet.

10y rough pitches: + - par with /14 up and downs. /14 within 3 feet and average par putt length outside of 3 feet.

20y rough/tight lie pitches:
+ - par with /14 up and downs. /14 within 3 feet and average par putt length outside of 3 feet.

30y rough/tight lie pitches:
+ - par with /14 up and downs. /14 within 3 feet and average par putt length outside of 3 feet.

PUTTING DRILLS:

Birdie drill:

Place 1 ball (14 times, assuming an unbelievable amount of greens and close proximity's) randomly 8 feet from the hole and make a fairly aggressive putt for birdie. By that I mean don't forget to hit it. See how many birdies you can make if you hit 14 greens! Also don't forget to blow it by because if its outside 3 feet, you must putt out for par. Keep track of your score in relation to par as well. Switch hole locations every putt.

Repeat for 12, 16 and 20 foot putts.

8 feet: /14 birdies, under par
12 feet: /14 birdies, under par
16 feet: /14 birdies, under par
20 feet: /14 birdies, under par

Lag putting:

Putt 3 balls from hole to hole (30-60 footers, as balanced as the naked eye can make it) with 14 sets (52 total lag putts). Get up and down if outside 3 feet.

1 putt birdies:
/52
2 putt pars: /52
3 putt bogeys: /52

Lags inside 3 feet: /52

Relation to par (104 strokes):

I'd like to run through these drills 3x a week or 12x a month for weeks that overlap months. This will be started at the beginning of golf season 2011.
