2010 Varsity Season

In my last post I said....

We play Albany Academy Tomorrow, Ill let you know how it goes.......

It didn't go well. But i qualified....again.

It was a miserable round mostly (for all the players except our #1 who is an animal). I was +6 through 7 (which I pared today, whooooohoooooo!!! ) Then I three jack 8 (gotta love aerated greens). So I am +7 going to the final hole. I kill my drive about 280, then 3 wood to 30 yards, and a 56* to 10 feet, two putt for par. Unfortunatly, the 6 of us only turned in 3 good scores ( a +2 39, +7 44, and +8 45.) We lost to Albany Academy 158-174. We play Mechanicville Monday, an easy match. Two things happend in this round that broke then saved my round. I missed THE WORLDS SHORTEST PAR PUTT on hole 4 (6 inches....literally ) then punched out of the woods (thick woods, I threaded this through 10 trees to just 10 feet off the green. It was sweeeeet. Even the Academy kids were asking me how I did that. Oh well, easy come easy go. I now have 4/5 required qualification rounds for Sectional playoffs in October. Hopefully I can get one on Monday at Mechanicville CC. Cheers, Adam
