Hey all first blog here!

So for the past 6 months my game and love for it has transformed into something that I could have never imagined. I am playing a lot and practice regularly or I like to at least. The more I practice, the more things I find out about my swing and how to correct it; if I am pushing the ball I focus on releasing my hands a bit and try not to get my body out of sync by slowing down just a little and it works.

I have really enjoyed seeing my swing transform and become a lot better but I am still working on getting it consistent to where I can be striking the ball and know exactly what I am going to do, fade, draw, straight, whatever. Correcting my swing isn't really a problem. If I am pushing the ball I focus on releasing my hands a bit and try not to get my body out of sync by slowing down just a little and it works. Hooking the ball or a strong push draw means I am over exaggerating just a bit lol..

I got a position at a Sports Authority recently near my house and it should be fun, I'll be in the Golf Zone! I am always keeping up to date with clubs and their technology. I know how shafts can affect your ball flight, how different balls react to certain putters, whether they have an insert or not, etc. So this should be really fun, I look forward to meeting peoples needs and helping them in any way and I will not give them advice unless I am certain that the advice I am giving is 100% backed up by fact!

Anyways,
I am very glad that I took up golf, again.. I used to play here and there back when I was about 13-14 and for about two years but every other month and I never really practiced. NOW, it's a much MUCH different story and I am very glad that I have really taken the time to appreciate the game of golf. I watch it, search forums, go and look at equipment and see how it is first hand and from there, and of course I play. I love playing whether there are 25mph gusts back in Corpus Christi or a nice perfect day in Austin, Tx.. All I like is for people to play the game with passion and love what your doing all the time. I am very interested in golf and will continue to have this passion for the rest of my life and who knows, maybe land a job in the golf industry making clubs or helping design them and help any golfer out there that I can...

    • Day 316 - More swings, full backswing and full finish.
    • Day 132: did some mirror work while watching TV. Worked on backswing stuff primarily.
    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
